CHARLES R. GETTY, JR.
Charles R. Getty, Jr., Esq., formed the Getty Law Firm in 2003 with the foundation of over twenty-five (25) years of practice of law in Rome, New York. His primary practice is in the areas of residential and commercial real estate (sales/purchases/ mortgages/title insurance), wills and estates, municipal law (zoning/planning), collections and foreclosures, formation of corporate entities (including corporations and LLC's) and divorce and family law.
Mr. Getty currently serves as the County Attorney for the County of Hamilton, New York. Mr. Getty previously served as City Attorney for the City of Rome (and as counsel to the Rome Zoning Board of Appeals and Rome Planning Board), and as Attorney for the Town of Annsville and the McConnellsville Fire Department; he was previously associated with and a partner in the law firm of McMahon, Grow & Getty.
Mr. Getty is a graduate of Rutgers College (1974), and received his law degree from New York Law School(1977). Mr. Getty is admitted to practice before all New York State Courts and the Federal Court for the Northern District of New York. He is a member of the City of Rome Bar Association (past President), Oneida County Bar Association (served on the Board of Directors and as Chairman of the Fee Disputes Committee; presently a member of the Grievance and Ethics Committee and the Real Property Committee), and New York State Bar Association.
